Workshop Description

This Glorious Goddess Pendant workshop will inspire your creativity! Over two days of project-based instruction, you will create a beautiful goddess pendant using fine silver metal clay and silversmithing techniques. Create your own bezels using a stone for the body and a porcelain or bone face cabochon. Gain deeper understanding about design, metal clay skills, bezel fabrication, soldering, stone setting, patina, and polishing.

Over two days you will be working with a basic metal clay tool kit, textures, molds, torches, hot plates, jewelry saws and blades, bezel cutting tools, stone setting tools, soldering tools, flux, kiln, burnishing tools and tumbler, flex-shaft and finishing burs, patina and polishing pads.

Improve your skills in the areas of:

  • Design
  • Metal clay texturing
  • Molding and sculpting
  • Bezel fabrication
  • Stone setting
  • Soldering
  • Patina and polishing
Day 1:
  • Focused on design, metal clay work, and creating bezels for your stones
Day 2:
  • Soldering, setting stones, adding patina, and polishing your pendants.

Students are encouraged to bring their own basic metal clay tool kits, safety goggles, bezel setting tools, and any textures or molds they wish to use. However, I will also provide tools, molds, and textures for students to share.
